THE SHORT VERSION
Your photos never leave your phone. Sable edits everything on your device — we don’t upload, store, or even see your images. No account, no tracking, no ads.

Your photos stay on your device
Every edit you make in Sable happens entirely on your phone. Your photos are never uploaded to us, sent to a server, or processed in the cloud. We have no way to see, collect, or store the images you edit.
What we collect — almost nothing
Sable has no accounts and no sign-in. We don’t ask for your name, email, or any personal details, and we don’t build a profile of you.
There are no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers in the app.
This website
This website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets no cookies, doesn’t follow you across other sites, and doesn’t try to work out who you are.
It has nothing to do with your photos, which never reach this site or any other. The app itself contains no analytics of any kind.
Photos and camera
When you choose a photo, we only read the one you pick. When you take a photo, the camera is used only to capture that shot. This access is used solely for editing inside the app — nothing is sent anywhere.
Face blur
Sable’s face blur tool finds faces so you can hide them. Detection runs entirely on your device — on iPhone and iPad using Apple’s Vision framework, on Android using an on-device Google ML Kit model bundled into the app. Your photo is never sent anywhere for this.
All the tool produces is the position of a rectangle around each face. It does not create a faceprint, a face template, or any other biometric identifier, and it cannot recognise or identify anyone. It does not tell us, or anyone else, who is in your photo.
Those rectangles are held in your phone’s memory only while the face blur screen is open, and are discarded the moment you leave it. They are never written to storage, never uploaded, and never shared with any third party. There is no face data retained after you close the tool, so there is nothing to delete.
When you apply a blur or pixelate, the effect is baked into the saved image — the original faces cannot be recovered from it.
Saving and recent edits
When you save, your edited photo is written to your device’s photo library. Sable also keeps a copy of your recent edits on your device so they appear in the “Recent” strip for quick access.
These stay on your phone and are never uploaded. They’re kept out of your device backup, and they’re removed if you delete them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall Sable.
Purchases
If you buy Sable Pro, the purchase is handled by the App Store or Google Play and by our payments provider, RevenueCat, which manages your unlock. They process the information needed to complete and restore your purchase — such as an anonymous purchase identifier and transaction details.
We never receive or store your card or payment details. Please see Apple’s, Google’s, and RevenueCat’s privacy policies for how they handle that information.
No ads, ever
Sable shows no adverts and contains no ad networks.
Children
Sable isn’t directed at children and doesn’t knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and revise the date above.
